How to refer a patient to us
Please fax a referral to 02 8104 1068. Our receptionist will call your patient as soon as possible and organise an appointment at a suitable time. To discuss a more urgent appointment please call the reception on 02 8104 1010.
Your patients can also directly ring our rooms during business hours and book their own appointments. They will need to bring a valid referral letter for the visit or send it to us before the visit, to be eligible for any Medicare rebate.
Antenatal investigations recommended before referring a pregnant patient:
Bloods: Full blood count, Blood group and antibody screen, TSH (if abnormal then FT3 and FT4), Rubella Ab status, Hepatitis B serology, Hepatitis C serology, HIV serology (HIV Ab and Ag combination) and Syphilis serology (TPHA or TPPT)
Urine: MCS (microscopy and culture)
Dating ultrasound scan: ideally between 8 and 12 weeks of pregnancy
Other tests to consider if indicated: Cervical cytology, screening for haemoglobinopathies, Varicella zoster Ab, Vitamin D, urine for Chlamydia
